Lesley Warner started studying ceramics at the age of 39, having decided that, after a successful career in media relations and communications, what she really wanted to do was be a potter.
So, with no previous experience whatsoever, she left her full time job and started making it happen – or perhaps, more appropriately, started making….
Lesley now teaches ceramics at City Lit in London's Covent Garden, where she also works two days a week as a technician.
She has a small studio at home (in the garage, sharing with camping gear, bikes and a lawnmower) and works on commissions as well as submitting works into open shows.

Working with iron-rich terracotta clay, my work draws its inspiration from landscape, from the elements, from the feeling of moving through water and wind.
